It's time to take a moment to reflect and look back at the top recipes from 2021! Here are the recipes you loved from the past year!

I can't believe another year has gone, let alone that we have made it through the crazy year we've had. Despite the craziness happening around us all, though, it was awesome to see people drawing comfort from getting into the kitchen to cook and bake.

It was also especially exciting for me to see so many more people visiting the blog this past year. The growth has really blown me away! And I have loved seeing people share photos of the recipes they've made from A Day in the Kitchen. Please keep sharing!

I published over 20 brand new recipes this past year, but some were clearly favorites and they pulled way ahead of the pack! Check out the Top 10 Recipes from 2021 to see what made the list. You can also take a look at the top recipes from 2020 and 2019!

Most Popular Recipes from 2021

10. Parmesan Roasted Cauliflower Steaks

I love how these Parmesan Roasted Cauliflower Steaks take veggies up a notch. They're not only delicious, but they are also beautiful enough to stand on their own as an entree.

9. Slow Cooker Asian Pulled Pork

This Slow Cooker Asian Pulled Pork takes an already popular dish and makes it even better with familiar Asian flavors. I love eating it with some white rice or stuffed into a lettuce leaf.

8. Rice Cooker Salmon and Egg Rice

Who'd a thought that a humble dish I would throw together for lunch for my sons would actually make the Top 10? Not me! All cooked in a rice cooker, this Salmon and Egg Rice is a breeze to whip up, is delicious and comforting.

7. Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

When you just don't feel like making individual scoops of cookies to bake, these gluten-free Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are the way to go. Who said that cookies have to be round?

6. Crispy Chow Mein Noodles

I guess there are plenty of people who love noodles like me! Crispy Chow Mein Noodles topped with delicious meat and vegetables in a savory sauce always hits the spot.

5. Buddha's Delight (Jai)

I was pleasantly surprised to see this very traditional Chinese dish make the Top 5! Buddha's Delight (Jai) is vegetarian, hearty, and delicious, and I'm glad to see it get some love!

4. Okonomiyaki Bites

I love how I can make several of these Okonomiyaki Bites at once in the oven and skip the frying pan. They're delicious, fun, and gluten-free!

This GF Bacon Cheddar Scallion Scones recipe really took off after I published it and I'm so happy that other people were as excited about it as I was! Tender and delicious, it's one of my son's favorites.

2. Gluten-Free Chinese Almond Cookies

In the runner-up position, these Chinese Almond Cookies were a major hit from 2021! They're gluten-free, but you would never know it, and I would hope that they would make my mum proud as they were inspired by the ones she used to make.

1. Chewy Butter Mochi Bites

And the Top Recipe of 2021 goes to Chewy Butter Mochi Bites! Easy to make, not as sweet as traditional Hawaiian Butter Mochi, gluten-free AND delicious, it's no wonder this became a hit!

My Family's Favorites From 2021

While my family had their favorites from the list, here are four other new recipes that didn't make the Top 10 but that my family is always happy to have me make!

  • Skillet Lemon Garlic Chicken Thighs

And that wraps up another year! Wishing you all a healthy and happy 2022, from my kitchen to yours.
