It's time to take a moment to reflect and look back at the new recipes from this past year that made the biggest impressions! Here are the top 10 recipes from 2022!
This year started out continuing to be a challenge all around, but it is nice to finally feel some sense of normalcy return as we are about to say farewell to 2022. I can't believe another year has gone by already and I hope that things continue to get better as we start 2023.

I managed to publish over 20 brand new recipes this past year, and as always, it's interesting to see what makes the Top 10 list and what comes out on top! Keep on reading to see what recipes resonated with people, and if you're interested, check out the top recipes from 2021 and 2020!

10. Gluten-Free Whipped Shortbread
Considering I only posted this recipe at the beginning of December, enough people viewed it that it made the top 10 recipes for 2022! These buttery, melt-in-your-mouth whipped shortbread cookies are so delicious, you would never guess that they're gluten-free!
9. Miso Udon Carbonara
Who knew that adding an Asian twist to an Italian classic would be so appealing? I love this miso udon carbonara and how delicious and satisfying it is, and also how easy it is to make!
8. Asian Chicken Salad
This Asian chicken salad is loaded with textures and flavor that are sure to please the palate! Tender chicken, toasted almonds, and napa cabbage, all mixed in a soy sesame vinaigrette...this is one salad that definitely isn't boring!
7. Chewy Chocolate Mochi Bread
Crusty on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, this chocolate mochi bread makes a perfect snack or dessert.
6. Almond Jello
This almond jello brings back so many memories from my childhood. It's a very simple dessert that's a nice lighter alternative to heavier, sweeter desserts.
5. Chunky Pickled Daikon and Cucumber
I love how this pickled daikon and cucumber is so crunchy and refreshing. It's got the perfect balance of sour and sweet and is a great companion to a heavy savory entree. It's also super easy to make!
4. Flourless Chocolate Lava Cakes
Flourless and gluten-free, but you would never guess it with these chocolate lava cakes! Each spoonful is rich and chocolatey and it's a dessert that is sure to impress!
3. Poached Pear Ginger Tea
A hot beverage that's got natural sweetness and a ginger bite, this poached pear ginger tea hits the spot on a cold day or if you're feeling a little under the weather.
2. Chinese Rice Puddings (Boot Jai Goh)
This was a pleasant surprise, to see this incredibly humble childhood favorite rank so highly! Chinese Rice Puddings are delightfully simple and delicious and will be incredibly nostalgic for anyone who grew up eating these (like me!).
1. Mochi Cinnamon Rolls
This is a huge favorite in the Day household and it apparently caught the attention of a lot of people to make it to the Number 1 spot of the top recipes of 2022! These mochi cinnamon rolls are super easy to make and so delicious! You'll be making them again and again!
Honourable Mentions
While these recipes didn't make the Top 10 Recipes of 2022 list, they still garnered a decent amount of interest that they are worth mentioning!
