I'm not exactly sure how it happened, but Christmas is less than a month away! All the more reason to offer some gift ideas if you're trying to think of what to get for the people in your life!
I am not being paid to endorse any of these items...everything listed here is either something we use and LOVE, or they are items I would LOVE to have myself. 🙂 To see the details for each item listed, just click on the images.
Another great thing about this list? You can go shopping for all these items while still in your pajamas, from the comfort of your own home. No crowds. Just click and voila -- it shows up on your doorstep! Let's get shopping!
Nom Nom Paleo Cookbooks
I wish I could say I own these, but I don't. Would I love to own them? YES! From what I have seen of these cookbooks, and from what I know of Michelle Tam of Nom Nom Paleo, these cookbooks are DA BOMB. She includes fabulous photos with every recipe (who doesn't love a cookbook with photos??), including detailing the cooking process. She has also been using the ever-popular Instapot since before it became THE hot item, so she has plenty of recipes showing you the magic it can do.
Simply Gourmet Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons
I own this set of measuring spoons and I love them. They're a heavy-duty stainless steel and the shape of the spoons also allow for effortless scooping from spice jars. No more having a tablespoon measure that doesn't fit into the jar opening!
GreenPan Rio 7" Non-Stick Ceramic Frypan
While I was dubious at first about the idea of having a small frying pan just so we could cook eggs for one person, I have to admit now that I love having this in my cookware arsenal! Not only is it the perfect size for cooking eggs for one, but it's also great for toasting nuts or seeds, or for frying up some shrimp for a salad. Additionally, there are no non-stick fumes to inhale and it's ridiculous easy to clean.
Microplane Fine Grater
If you don't have a microplane, you have to consider getting this one. I use my microplane for garlic, ginger, nuts, and zesting lemons or limes. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and perfect for small jobs where you don't need to use clunky cheese grater.
Glass Meal Prep Containers
Okay, I don't have these, but I want them! Glass containers -- not plastic -- with dividers! Brilliant!
Amazon Echo Show
With my mother-in-law being well into her 80's and unable to figure out how to use Skype on her iPad anymore, my husband thought the Echo Show would be a good solution for face-to-face calls. We bought one for her and one for us and it works like a charm. The Echo Show sits on her table and she doesn't have to do anything with it. It shows the time and a custom set photo of my husband and his brothers on the screen. When we want to talk to her, we go to our Echo Show device here in Hong Kong and say, "Alexa, call Granny." With all the presets in place, our unit "calls" hers and we just pop up on her Echo Show screen. All she needs to do is come and sit in front of her Echo Show device and we can chat with her! She doesn't have to remember how to use it! My husband also has the Amazon Echo app on his phone so he can still call her if he is traveling. It has proven to be a fabulous device in being able to keep in touch with her every week.
Surgical Stainless Steel Non-Piercing Clip-On Earrings
For non-pierced ears (like mine), or for adding some extra bling around the ear without piercing any more holes, these clip-on earrings are awesome! I wear them all the time and own them in different colors and finishes. I also like them because they are made of stainless steel, perfect for people like me with nickel allergies. Easy to put on and comfortable to wear...no holes required!
Briggs & Riley Transcend Tall Carry-on Expandable Upright
Travelers need gift ideas, too! We do our share of traveling and when it comes to luggage, we are a big fan of Briggs & Riley. We use this particular one every time we travel and love its compact shape and roomy interior. This carry-on is the maximum airline carry-on size, fitting easily into the overhead compartments. and is compact and lightweight. It is also expandable if you need the extra space (and don't mind checking it in). And the added bonus? Lifetime guarantee and free repairs on workmanship defects for as long as you own the suitcase. These cost a bit more than most suitcases, but they are built well. We have another carry-on that's lasted over 20 years and a large suitcase that we've had for well over 10.
Anker 2-port 24W USB Wall Charger
We charge phones and devices using this handy-dandy USB wall charger. Anker also has ones with more than 2 USB ports, but this is the one we own and it's awesome being able to charge more than one device from one power outlet. Works with Apple and Android devices.
AmazonBasics Dual USB Car Charger for Apple and Android Devices
This is a great stocking stuffer for the person who needs to stay plugged in while in the car! We make use of ours when we're on our road trips or when Google Maps is sucking the phone battery dry!
Now that I've given you some gift ideas to think about, finish up that Christmas shopping so you have more time to relax...or cook! 🙂
